Visualization Board
Hello everybody! Today we are going to talk about dreams/plans/goals which you set to yourself a few nights ago..before the calendar sheet changed from 2012 to 2013.. Ahh..New Year magical time. You feel so confident that you will do everything you planned, you will be healthy, will learn a lot of new stuff, will change the job...etc. I personally had this feeling, that this year will be just amazing! All plans set up, activities are planned and new organizer waiting for me to feel him up:) But you know what's funny? That this feeling of high productivity started to fade away ones I put my New Year hat on its place and get back to routine. I think that not only me.. I need a boost..we all need a reminder that will keep us going in achieving our dreams. This is why I decided to do a visualization board.
Visualization board is a tool to keep you focused on a things you want, your dreams and wishes. It's like a reminder that always keep you attention on the things you want the most. Even If you don't have a goal, just think about things you want. Maybe it's a relationship you wish to have, a new car, a watch? If you will put a picture which will be associated with this and you will see it every day, your mind will work toward this direction. Suddenly you will see the opportunities you've never put your attention into before, meet right people. But don't think that this visualization board will be like a magic pill for all your problems:) You need to do some work too. It's a very simple process. We need: - A big piece of paper (depends on your wishes:) - Magazines that you read. - Scissors - Glue - Your picture
1. Identify what do you want. It could be something simple just to begin with if you've never done this before. For example: you want a new purse/jacket/loving relationship, you name it.
2. Find a picture of it in the magazine, cut it and place on your visualization board. (mine is not finished yet...I still need to find a picture of a beautiful family and happy relationship)
3. Every time when you will pass by it imagine how you wear it, how good it fit you, how does it feel to have it. If it's a car - imagine how you drive it, close your eyes, press the gas pedal:) Our brain treat reality and our imagination in the same way. So by imagining that you already have it, you sending a very strong signal to the universe and here where is magic begin:)
I personally started to do a visualization boards in 2008. I used to have it on my wall, back i Russia. A few days ago my brother sent me picture of it. And you know what, almost everything I wished for then I have now. For example, I used to have a beautiful picture of New York and now I live here for 3,5 years, or picture of material things like clothed and gadgets, I have a relationship I dreamed about.. My weight was 63 kilo back days and I wanted to weight 56, so I placed a picture of a beautiful woman body and i put my face over there and here we are, I got it:)
I just want you to give it a try! It doesn't hurt. But the main ingredient is your desire to change, to learn, to achieve and do steps in this direction! Not just look on the board and wait the miracle to happen. This board is a great tool to keep your focus on the right things and motivate you.
Remember! Impossible is nothing! We can do anything we put our mind into! Good luck!

The Mark Twain House & Museum.
From time to time, it is good for us to
change environment. Of course, like real New Yorkers you can ask “For what
reason? We have everything we need right here!” And it is true, I totally
agree! We have all we need here. Especially if “all we need is love” ;). Buuut…. There is always but. New environment is new knowledge, new interests,
and new food for thoughts. If we get something new and think about it – our
mind working and we became old age late. The scientists discovered the secret
of long ages - the knowledge. If we will learn something every day we will keep
our brain working and it give us more ages for live. When we live in one place
and do the same things, it is hard to find something new. That’s why it is
important to go out from our comfort zone and run into visual environment.
Moreover, any new information is cause of our development. So, I hope we
finally agree with that idea that it is good for us to change environment.
It is good when some person associates with some place and vice versa when some place associates with person. As a rule, it is some famous places and peoples. We can’t, for example, imagine Barcelona without Antonio Gaudi or Woody Allen without NY. The same story with Hartford, Connecticut, we cannot imagine that town without Mark Twain.

The Twain’s family have been built their elegant house 1year and 6 month and they made everything like they wanted. That is why that house has a particular personality which shows us what kind of people lived there, what they do and how their life looked like. Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens by birth) spun stories for his daughters and guests, and for the novels that become cherished the world over, within these walls. The house has old smell and antique appearance. It gives us the food for imagination and we can play with images in our mind.
Tours of the breathtaking house are
available year-round. Here you can get all information about the place.
In addition, the Hartford is good place for
visit too. It is old town with different architectures and history. You can
just walk or drive and explore many interesting places around.

Using a color wheel to paint/decorate your room.
Three months ago I got tired of the color of the walls in my living
room that I even thought to repaint them. After that, I ran into some
difficulties and decided to leave things as they are and just a little update the
furniture. During the time while I was going to deal with repainting the walls I did some research. I did not use these materials yet, but maybe they will be
useful to you. The color wheel is one of the nice things that I found.
As children, most of us learned some basic color theory. We
smeared yellow and blue paint together and came up with green. Or we mixed
yellow and red and saw orange. By adding white, we turned colors into pastels.
With black, we made bright colors dark. In the end, most wound up looking like
mud because we mixed too many colors together. Those lessons are the basis of
color wheel, a tool that helps predict which shades looks good next to each
other and how their combinations influence the mood of a room.
A color wheel shows the effect of combining equal amounts of
two primary colors (yellow, red, or blue) to make a secondary color (orange,
purple, or green). It also shows the result of blending a primary color and a
secondary color to make a tertiary color, such as yellow-green or blue-purple.
The wheel shows how pure color is altered with addition of white, which in
color lingo makes a tint; black, which makes a shade; or the opposite (or
complementary) color, which produces a grayish tone. Using the wheel, you can
pick many successful combinations.
Monochromatic.
For a quit, restful look, stay on one spoke of the wheel to get a single color
adjusted with different amounts of white, black, or gray.
Analogous.
To add a bit more life to a room but keep its overall effect quiet, select
three color side by side, each with similar amounts of white, black, or the
complementary color. You might pick one color for most of the room and use the
others as accents on accessories.
Complementary.
For the liveliest look, choose two colors
opposite each other on the wheel: red and green, blue and orange, or
purple and yellow. You don’t need to stick to pure colors. Consider those with
equal amounts of white, black, or gray.
Split
complementary. If you like unusual combinations, select one color plus
those on each side of its complement. Again, use similar intensities.
Double-split
complementary. For something even more intriguing, use four colors – the
ones on either side of a pair of complementary colors. You can also select
three shades that are an equal distance apart on the color wheel. Unless you
want primary colors as your theme, select shades that have been similarly toned
down with white, black, or gray.
Hope it helps you with your hard work, even if you working
in your imagination only J!
